Because of the pandemic and changes in the workplace, there has been a seismic shift to working remotely.
We’ve seen many excellent tools becoming available to help remote employees with this transition.
We already covered a few popular apps in our list of tools for remote working. Some of these include video conferencing like Zoom, Skype, and Google Meet, and project management apps including ClickUp, Trello, Asana, and many others.
For this article, we’ll focus on free apps for capturing video from your screen.
There are many benefits of using video for communicating. You can use screen recording apps to provide instructions for clients and co-workers, create tutorials, explain how things work, record webinars and online meetings, and much more.
These apps work either as desktop apps or browser extensions. Browser extensions can be used regardless of what operating system you use. This means you don’t need to download anything and browser-based screen capture tools work on both Windows and Macs. (For this post we only list Chrome extensions).
You’d be amazed how much time you can save and at the same time improve your communication process when you use video tools.
Below is the list of the most popular video screen recording tools.
