Did you ever need to extract a text from an image file?
This happens to everyone at some point. Someone sends you a photo they took of the document and asks you to extract the text and post it on the website.

In the past, if you want to grab this text from the image, you had to spend your valuable time manually retyping the text. Then you spend more time proofreading and checking for errors. What a pain.

Luckily you can now quickly extract text from an image with a simple hack. This is done by uploading the file to Google Docs.

All you need to do is upload the image containing the text you want to extract to Google Drive. Make sure the text is crisp and easy to read to minimize errors. After your image containing text has been uploaded, right-click the file and select open with Google Docs from the drop-down menu.

Then after a few seconds, a new window opens with your image at the top and the actual text you can copy and paste underneath.

This little trick can save you an amazing amount of time you otherwise waste retyping the text that’s part of the image
