SEO Tool Spotlight: Ahrefs Webmaster Tools Is Now Free To Use

If you know anything about SEO, you are probably aware that there are many excellent paid and free marketing and SEO tools are at your disposal.

The two services that always come up on top are SEMrush and Ahrefs.

Both have many phenomenal features for auditing and optimizing your website to help you rank better and gain more visibility in search engine results

Unfortunately, both SEMrush and Ahrefs can be costly. Each one starts at $100/month for the basic premium account.

If you don’t want to pay, SEMRush allows you to set up a free account where you can view limited data and monitor up to 10 keywords for your site.

Ahrefs on the other hand had no free model and you even had to pay for a trial period to test out the software.

Fortunately, this has changed and recently Ahrefs, released a free version of Ahrefs Webmaster Tools. AWT is a great set of apps to help you improve your website’s SEO performance and get more traffic by analyzing your site and tracking backlinks.

There are two parts to Ahrefs Webmaster Tools.

• Site Explorer Tool

First, there is a website audit tool called Site Audit. Site Audit allows you to scan for over 100 issues that can potentially be hurting your website’s performance in search.

The second part of AWT is Site Explorer, which shows you backlinks and search traffic data.

Combined these two tools give you a nice overview of how your website is performing in search engines so you can make necessary improvements and get higher rankings.

Another nice feature is a monthly backlink alert you get in the email showing how many links you gained and lost and other useful information.
